French Ambassador on visit to Gharb

treetreeThe French Ambassador for Malta Mr Jean-Marc Rives has made an official visit to the Gharb Local Council on Saturday 4th August 2007. The Ambassador has visited the Gharb Local Council premises where he has meet Gharb Mayor David Apap together with the Council Members.

The Ambassador has donated an treeolive tree to Gharb which has been planted near Carmen Grima Museum. Two other trees have been planted by the Mayor of Gharb and the artist Raphael Labro himself on behalf of the French Mayor of La Gaude.

At 1900 CET, the Ambassador has made the official inauguration of "Rebirth" of a Fund Raising Art Exhibition by Raphael Labro at the Sinclair Stevenson Gallery, 59, Trux Street, Gharb.

The Exhibition is open from Monday to Saturday from 1100 CET to 1230 CET and from 1800 to 2000 CET. On Sundays, it will be open from 1800 to 2000 CET. For further private viewing and information visit Raphael Labro official website or call the gallery or Labro Studio on 00 356 9985 5103.

Sales from the exhibition will help to raise funds for The Friends of the Sick and the Elderly in Gozo as well as Tree 4 Gharb projects.

Raphael Labro studied Fine Arts in Nice and has exhibited in prestigious venues around the world. Residing in Gharb since 2003, Labro has been fascinated by the Maltese Goddesses. Labro’s paintings are celebration of colours where the Mother Earth Goddess returns to us like a messenger of the past.
